Role overview
InterContinental Wellington, a centrally located five-star property on Wellington’s waterfront, is hiring a Groups Reservations Coordinator to join its reservations function. This position reports to the Reservations Manager and focuses on handling group enquiries and bookings with accuracy, speed, and a strong guest-service mindset.
What you will do
- Take ownership of group reservation enquiries and bookings from the first enquiry through to final confirmation, making the process smooth for both organisers and attendees.
- Work closely with the sales and revenue teams to improve group booking outcomes and manage room inventory efficiently.
- Keep all reservation information current, precise, and well recorded.
- Provide prompt, tailored service to group organisers and participants.
- Support revenue growth by identifying and promoting booking opportunities.
- Develop positive, lasting relationships with group clients while making sure their needs are handled and expectations are surpassed.
What the hotel is looking for
The ideal candidate will have a background in reservations, front office operations, or a similar hospitality role. You should bring strong administrative capability, prior hotel experience, familiarity with a property management system such as Opera, and the confidence to communicate effectively with both guests and internal teams.
