Head of Design

Role overview

CASABOT is seeking a Head of Design to take full ownership of product design and user experience across its platform. This is a high-ownership, hands-on leadership role reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer. You will lead with a small internal team of two already in place, shape the platform’s visual and interaction direction, and help grow the design function over the next 12 to 18 months. If performance is strong, the position is expected to progress toward Chief Design Officer.

What you will own

• End-to-end product design across the entire CASABOT ecosystem, including HiveOS UI, BOTty interactions, iOS and Android apps, web surfaces, and the augmented reality experience.
• Ownership of the design system, covering reusable patterns, UI components, accessibility guidelines, and design tokens.
• Protection and development of the brand, including visual identity, motion principles, and consistent representation of CASABOT for customers, partners, and the public.
• Close collaboration with the acting Chief Technology Officer, mobile engineering leads, and the Chief Revenue Officer on customer-facing products.
• Building the design team through hiring, coaching, and long-term organizational growth as the company scales.

First 90 days focus

• HiveOS UI: refine the in-home control experience used daily by customers and installers.
• Mobile apps: strengthen the iOS and Android experience as the main remote control and management channel.
• BOTty interaction: define the conversational and behavioral design that gives CASABOT its personality.

Longer-term scope

• Extend design ownership into web, augmented reality, and full brand system governance.
• Help shape hiring decisions and lead team expansion.
• Establish design as an equal partner to engineering and commercial functions.

Working style and expectations

CASABOT operates like a startup, so the role demands resilience, speed, and strong judgment. You will be expected to work hard, meet deadlines consistently, make decisions even when information is incomplete, and maintain quality under pressure. The company values direct communication, ambition, and a strong shipping mindset.

Location and working arrangement

Being based in the United Arab Emirates is strongly preferred. Remote candidates may also be considered if they can overlap substantially with Gulf Standard Time business hours. Some travel will be required.

Process

Compensation and equity

CASABOT provides a competitive base salary aligned with seniority and experience. Stock options are a meaningful part of the package, and the Head of Design will take part significantly in the equity program. Final salary, equity allocation, and vesting terms will be discussed with shortlisted candidates.
