Infrastructure Security Engineer - AI Trainer

Role overview

This opportunity is for experienced cybersecurity professionals who want to help improve advanced AI systems while working remotely and choosing their own hours. The work focuses on using real-world security expertise to test whether AI-generated answers, analyses, and recommendations are practically sound.

As part of the team, you will collaborate with modern AI models on tasks such as reviewing security-focused AI outputs, tackling technical cybersecurity challenges, and sharing feedback that helps improve how these systems understand threats and defenses. Some people do this alongside another full-time job, while others treat it as their main work.

To begin, you will create an account and complete a short assessment that acts as the screening step. If successful, you will receive confirmation by email and paid tasks will be available through the platform.

Responsibilities

• Check AI-generated cybersecurity material for practical accuracy, including threat analysis, vulnerability reviews, and offensive security methods.
• Build and solve technical security tasks used to train AI models.
• Produce clear written explanations and security-related code.
• Share feedback that helps improve the next generation of AI security systems.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in areas such as penetration testing, red teaming, incident response, detection engineering, DFIR, malware analysis, threat intelligence, or related government or military cyber work.
• Some programming ability, including comfort with understanding and modifying codebases.
• Strong English fluency at native or bilingual level, along with solid writing skills.
• A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Security certifications such as OSCP, CRTO, GREM, GCFA, CEH, or similar credentials are considered an advantage.

Contract and payment details

This is an independent contractor role. Compensation is paid hourly, starting at USD 50 to USD 100+ per hour, with bonus rates available on certain projects. Payment is made through PayPal. Applicants are never asked to pay any money.

Work style and eligibility

You may choose the projects you take on and decide when to work. The role is remote, allowing you to work from your own computer and set your own schedule.
