Role Summary
This full-time, on-site position in Jeddah is for an experienced Senior Accountant who will oversee daily accounting activities and maintain reliable financial records. The role covers general ledger management, account reconciliations, and the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards. The person in this role will also support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning, manage accounts payable and receivable, monitor expense allocations, and ensure the books are closed on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle daily accounting operations, including ledger postings and reconciliation of accounts.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
- Prepare financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis in line with relevant accounting standards.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow control activities.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Track expense allocation and ensure timely month-end and year-end closing.
- Ensure compliance with local tax laws and regulatory obligations.
- Work with external auditors and assist with audit-related requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls.
- Coordinate with finance, operations, and leadership teams to provide financial insight and support decision-making.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of core accounting practices, including the general ledger, reconciliations, financial reporting, and closing procedures.
- Hands-on experience with accounting software or ERP platforms.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, financial analysis, and data handling.
- Practical experience in budgeting, forecasting, variance review, and cash flow management.
- Understanding of local tax rules, compliance requirements, and audit procedures.
- Excellent analytical ability, numerical accuracy, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a high standard of precision in work output.
- Good organizational and time-management abilities with the capacity to manage several deadlines at once.
- Strong written and spoken English communication skills; Arabic is an added advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Professional qualifications such as CPA, CMA, SOCPA, or similar are preferred.
- Several years of progressive accounting experience, including previous senior-level accounting exposure.
- Experience in real estate, construction, or investment holding businesses is a plus.
