Role Overview

HCLTech is looking to hire an experienced Shopify specialist for its Hyderabad location. This position calls for a seasoned professional with 6 to 11 years of experience who can work on advanced Shopify implementations, platform architecture, and integrations. The compensation is open for discussion.

Core Responsibilities

The role involves building and maintaining sophisticated Shopify solutions, including theme and storefront development, app integrations, and platform-scale commerce implementations.

• Develop and support Shopify projects using Liquid and Online Store 2.0.
• Work with Admin and Storefront GraphQL, Shopify CLI, embedded apps, Polaris, and App Bridge.
• Implement Checkout UI Extensions, Shopify Functions, and B2B capabilities on Shopify.
• Handle multi-store architecture, headless commerce builds, and rollouts using Hydrogen and Oxygen.
• Manage OAuth flows, app installation patterns, webhook processing, bulk operations, and rate-limit-aware designs.
• Design and maintain metafield and metaobject structures for commerce data.
• Build and connect ERP, OMS, CRM, and 3PL systems with Shopify environments.
• Work across hosting and deployment platforms such as Vercel, Cloudflare, Oxygen, and AWS.
• Use Postgres and Redis where required for application and data-layer support.
• Lead migrations, replatforming efforts, and headless commerce deployments.
• Review code, improve performance, and guide teammates with 2 to 5 years of experience.

Experience and Notice Period

Applicants should bring 6 to 11 years of relevant experience. The preferred notice period is immediate to 60 days.

Location

Hyderabad is the primary location for this opening. Other mentioned work locations include Chennai, Noida, Pune, and Bangalore.
