Site Structural Engineer

Role Overview

The Site Structural Engineer will oversee the on-site installation and execution of structural steel works in Qatar, ensuring all activities meet the approved design, construction, quality, and safety requirements.

Core Responsibilities

• Direct the erection of structural steel elements such as columns, beams, platforms, pipe supports, access structures, and other miscellaneous steel components.
• Confirm that all work is carried out in line with approved IFC drawings, method statements, inspection and test plans, and QatarEnergy standards.
• Work closely with construction, QA/QC, HSE, subcontractor teams, and client representatives to coordinate inspections and day-to-day site execution.
• Check alignment, fit-up, bolting, welding, and grouting activities before requesting inspection or handing over the work.
• Submit RFIs when design issues or drawing conflicts are identified and help close out technical site concerns.
• Track daily site progress, labor productivity, and availability of materials, while flagging any risks to schedule.
• Support a strong safety culture by following HSE procedures, joining toolbox talks, and encouraging safe working methods.
