About the Organization
ACCEL International Inc. Saudi for Education provides a wide range of educational, therapeutic, behavioral, and vocational services for people with special needs and developmental disabilities. The organization’s mission is to help each individual build the skills needed for a meaningful, independent, and dignified life.
Launched in September 2019 through a partnership between ACCEL International and Saudi Aramco, the center has become a leading initiative in Saudi Arabia focused on delivering high-quality therapeutic and learning support to children with developmental disabilities.
Role Overview
The Speech Language Pathologist will evaluate, plan, and deliver speech and language therapy services for students, with a focus on communication development, social interaction, literacy support, and functional participation in the classroom and at home.
Core Responsibilities
- Identify students who may have difficulties with speech, language, communication, feeding, or swallowing, and decide when additional assessment or referral is needed.
- Carry out thorough assessments of speech, language, communication, and social communication abilities using methods appropriate to the student’s culture and language background.
- Determine whether Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) tools or devices are needed and what type would be most suitable.
- Create tailored therapy plans that address speech and language needs, social communication, literacy, self-regulation, and interaction skills that help students take part in the mainstream curriculum.
- Design home intervention plans and guide families on how to support progress outside the classroom.
- Provide direct speech and language therapy and keep detailed, accurate records of student development.
- Partner with teachers and the multidisciplinary IEP team to plan and implement educational and therapeutic support.
- Work alongside teachers in interdisciplinary classroom settings to promote student achievement.
- Advise students and families on communication concerns and provide training, guidance, and ongoing support.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Language Pathology from a recognized accredited institution, with experience in healthcare and/or school environments.
- A current license to practice issued by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS).
- At least five years of clinical and/or educational experience in Speech Language Pathology, working with children and adolescents aged 3 to 18 years.
- Fluency in both Arabic and English is mandatory.
Preferred Background
- Professional certification from a recognized speech and language association, such as ASHA.
- Training or certification in First Aid and CPR.
- Hands-on experience with assistive technology and AAC solutions.

This is a full-time onsite role based in Al Ahsa, Eastern, Saudi Arabia.
