About the role

This opening is for a Systems Engineer focused on coding agent experience. The work is remote and contract-based.
What you'll do
- Use advanced AI coding agents to solve and assess challenging engineering tasks.
- Inspect code produced by models, along with the architecture choices and system-level implementations behind it.
- Spot defects, unusual edge cases, throughput issues, and possible failure scenarios.
- Benchmark outputs from multiple frontier models and judge where each one performs well or poorly.
- Use practical engineering judgment to reason through realistic systems design and implementation situations.
- Operate independently and on an asynchronous schedule while helping improve model quality.
What we're looking for
- At least 2 years of professional experience in systems engineering.
- Hands-on exposure to distributed systems, networking, operating systems, storage systems, infrastructure software, or database internals.
- Frequent use of AI coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, Windsurf, Gemini CLI, or comparable platforms.
- Capability to assess model-generated system designs and implementations.
- Experience creating highly scalable, performance-sensitive systems is preferred.
Compensation and terms
Pay is set at $85 per hour, and compensation is also described as $400 for each accepted task. Payment depends on work that is accepted.
