Role overview
Agency MJ’s Global Design team is looking for an Art Director to contribute to a remote creative group focused on standout fashion campaigns and visuals for luxury marketing, advertising, and product storytelling. This position calls for a seasoned creative leader with hands-on experience shaping premium fashion photography, styling direction, and motion-based content.
The right candidate will bring a refined eye for composition, fashion aesthetics, and detail, along with a strong grasp of luxury fashion trends, audience expectations, and how to execute concepts effectively with cross-functional creative partners. You should be able to work within established luxury brand rules while also introducing fresh, fashion-forward ideas that enhance the overall visual experience.
A compelling portfolio showing strong luxury fashion knowledge and polished editorial art direction is essential. The role involves managing several campaigns and seasonal initiatives at once while upholding top-tier quality. Success in this role requires initiative, independence, adaptability, and the ability to contribute to a fast-moving environment centered on creative innovation and sophisticated problem-solving.

Key responsibilities
- Pitch fashion-driven creative concepts to stakeholders for review and approval.
- Shape, plan, and deliver premium fashion campaigns and editorial content.
- Build detailed creative briefs for photography, styling, and broader creative collaborators.
- Guide and motivate creative teams while ensuring luxury-level standards are met.
- Use refined visual storytelling to create aspirational shopping experiences.
- Propose creative directions for seasonal fashion initiatives.
- Partner with styling teams to support elevated product presentation.
- Coordinate with production to secure the right talent and resources for shoots.
- Push new ideas in luxury fashion presentation without compromising brand consistency.
- Maintain a high level of visual quality across all fashion-related output.
Qualifications
- A digital portfolio that showcases luxury fashion campaigns, editorial direction, and sophisticated visual storytelling.
- At least 8 years of experience in fashion art direction and creative leadership.
- Strong working knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Figma.
- A bachelor’s degree in fashion design, visual communications, or equivalent professional experience.
- Background in directing fashion photography, styling, and remote creative teams.
- Experience creating or maintaining luxury fashion brand standards.
- Strong verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate creative ideas to senior leadership.
- Clear understanding of luxury market behavior and customer expectations.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced fashion environment.
Preferred background
- Experience working with luxury fashion houses or premium retail brands.
- Solid experience in editorial fashion and lifestyle production.
- Advanced art direction for fashion campaigns and seasonal content.
- Exposure to fashion film production and direction.
- Experience handling on-location fashion shoots and styling.
- Strong awareness of current fashion trends and luxury market expectations.
- International fashion market exposure.
