Backend Developer - AI Trainer

Overview

This role is for a backend developer who can contribute to AI training work by helping improve coding-focused models. You will join a large community of technical professionals working on practical AI projects across front-end, back-end, full-stack, machine learning, and related disciplines.

The platform combines flexibility with challenging work. Projects may involve creating and solving complex programming tasks, building feature-rich applications, and analyzing data through visualization. The output of your work helps train systems that improve over time.

Some contributors use this as a supplemental activity alongside another job, while others make it their primary work and choose assignments that suit their availability and goals.

How selection works

After creating an account, you will complete a short assessment that acts as the screening step. If successful, you will receive confirmation by email and paid tasks will become available through the platform.

Responsibilities

• Create and solve varied coding challenges that help train AI systems, with a strong focus on Android-related development.
• Produce well-structured code examples and explain them clearly.
• Review AI-generated code for correctness, speed, and readability.
• Share feedback that influences the development of future AI models.

Requirements

• Strong command of English at native or bilingual level.
• Preferred hands-on experience with Kotlin.
• Working knowledge of at least one of these languages or frameworks: JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, C, C#, C++, React, Go, Java, or Swift.
• Good writing ability and solid grammar.
• Bachelor’s degree, either completed or currently in progress.
• Prior experience as a software developer, coder, software engineer, or programmer is preferred.

Compensation and contract details

Projects are paid hourly, starting at $50 to $100+ per hour, with higher pay possible on certain assignments. Payment is processed through PayPal, and any currency conversion from USD is handled by PayPal. This is an independent contractor arrangement.

This opportunity is available only to candidates in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand. Applicants outside these locations will not see tasks or assessments on the platform at this time.

You will not be asked to pay any fee to participate.

There is no fixed schedule: you can choose the projects you want and decide when to work, using your own computer from your home.
