Role Summary

This full-time, on-site Civil Engineer position is based in Qatar. The role involves planning, designing, and supervising infrastructure work connected to travel and tourism, including roads, facilities, and related structures. You will prepare and check technical drawings, specifications, and calculations; work closely with architects, contractors, and consultants; and make sure all work follows local regulations, safety rules, and project expectations.

Key Duties

• Develop and review engineering drawings, technical documents, and calculation sheets.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, consultants, and other project stakeholders.
• Ensure construction activities comply with local codes, safety requirements, and project standards.
• Carry out site inspections and visits to monitor progress and verify workmanship and materials.
• Identify technical issues during execution and support timely resolution.
• Assist with cost estimates, project timelines, progress updates, and reporting.
• Support risk management, quality assurance, and environmental and sustainability practices.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Solid understanding of civil engineering fundamentals, including structural analysis, material behavior, geotechnical principles, and infrastructure planning.
• Hands-on experience using engineering and drafting tools such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or comparable software.
• Ability to read, interpret, and work from technical drawings and specifications.
• Background in construction supervision, site inspections, and coordination with contractors and suppliers on active projects.
• Familiarity with applicable building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards, ideally within Qatar or the GCC region.
• Strong coordination skills in budgeting, scheduling, progress tracking, and documentation.
• Good written and spoken English communication skills, with the ability to collaborate in multicultural and cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering field from an accredited institution.
• Professional registration or eligibility for membership in a recognized engineering organization is considered an advantage.
• Experience in infrastructure, transport, or tourism-related construction projects in the Middle East is preferred, though not mandatory.
• Must be able to work on site in Qatar, adapt to local working conditions, and maintain a strong commitment to safety and ethical conduct.
