Role overview
Avrioc Technologies is looking for a Data Scientist to join a collaborative group made up of engineers, data scientists, and product owners. In this role, you will help shape, build, fine-tune, and assess the algorithms that power the company’s product and influence how it operates at scale for millions of users.
This position suits someone who enjoys taking ideas from early concept through development, deployment, and real-world impact.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Analytics, or another closely related quantitative discipline.
- At least 4 years of professional experience in advanced data science work such as predictive modeling, statistical analysis, machine learning, text mining, geospatial analytics, time series forecasting, and optimization.
- Practical experience using one or more advanced data science languages, including R, Python, Scala, or SAS.
- Strong hands-on exposure to deep learning use cases such as image classification, object detection, style transfer, and similar applications.
- Experience working with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Keras.
- Hands-on experience with CUDA backend work.
- Working knowledge of Linux terminal usage and shell scripting.
- Familiarity with the ELK stack and message broker queues.
- Ability to move machine learning models from research environments such as Jupyter Notebooks into production using procedural or pipeline-based approaches.
- Comfort using cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Strong planning skills with the ability to estimate project timelines accurately.
- Ability to take initiative and work independently with limited supervision.
- Willingness to stay updated on current technologies and industry standards.
- Self-driven mindset with strong interpersonal skills.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with AWS or Azure cloud platforms.
- Strong communication and presentation abilities.
- Background working with media data, including platform and customer data from the media agency, technology, or brand side.
- Good understanding of Agile and Scrum practices.
