Data Scientist

About the role

This position is centered on turning large and complex data sets into practical insights that help guide business decisions and support innovation. The role involves building models, testing ideas through experimentation, and translating results into recommendations that stakeholders can act on.

Key responsibilities

• Work with both structured and unstructured data by collecting, cleaning, analyzing, and preparing it for use.
• Develop, train, and assess predictive models and machine learning solutions.
• Run analytical experiments and statistical tests to confirm assumptions and improve model quality.
• Use statistical methods and data modelling to uncover insights that support business decisions.
• Build dashboards, charts, and reports that make findings easy to understand.
• Share analysis results and recommendations with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Partner with teams across the organization to solve business problems using data.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a closely related discipline.
• Between 3 and 8 years of professional experience in data science or advanced analytics.
• Good command of Python and SQL for data work and model development.
• Hands-on experience with statistical analysis, machine learning, and predictive modelling.
• Ability to create visualizations and present analytical findings clearly.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and communication skills.

Preferred qualifications

• Exposure to Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization platforms.
• Experience working with big data ecosystems such as Spark or Hadoop.
• Familiarity with cloud-based analytics or machine learning environments.
