Role overview
This is an on-site field trainer position for Purplle stores and EBOs in the Greater Kolkata Area. The role focuses on supporting retail sales and operations teams through structured learning, on-floor coaching, and effective training delivery for beauty advisors as well as ASM/SM teams.
Qualifications and experience
Applicants should hold any graduation degree and bring at least 4 years of hands-on retail training experience in a field or on-floor setting.
Key responsibilities
- Work closely with retail sales and operations teams to achieve shared business goals by following the centrally designed training journey.
- Support and execute learning and development initiatives for beauty advisors and ASM/SMs.
- Create and deliver training content for beauty products across makeup, skincare, fragrances, and accessories, with emphasis on product understanding, selling approaches, and brand values.
- Lead interactive sessions, identify learner gaps, track progress, address challenges, and share updates with management in a timely manner.
- Plan training calendars and adapt curriculum to suit the needs of the specific retail region.
- Review training data and prepare reports covering effectiveness, completion levels, and learner engagement.
- Encourage stronger participation from line managers and help build a more active training culture.
- Maintain strong working relationships with cross-functional teams and represent the brand professionally.
- Help develop, organize, and refresh training manuals, visual aids, and other learning resources for store frontline roles.
- Deliver soft-skills, product refresher, grooming, etiquette, and on-the-job training sessions for new hires.
- Train beauty advisors on their key responsibilities and performance expectations.
- Assess BA performance and training outcomes, then suggest improvements where needed.
- Follow MIS requirements, SOPs, and all training/performance trackers.
- Participate in Train-the-Trainer programs to strengthen skills in line with business requirements.
