Role Overview
The IAM Security Engineer will support the organization’s identity and access management operations, working closely with multiple business and technical teams to keep access controls secure, effective, and aligned with business needs.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and support backend operating systems.
- Handle IAM platforms and provide operational and business technology support across areas such as FAQ/chat handling, account administration, authorization management, access review, monitoring, alerting, data protection, and risk identification.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with business stakeholders, product managers, developers, infrastructure teams, and information security teams.
- Assess how well existing system features are working and recommend practical improvements based on organizational requirements.
- Analyze signals across different systems to identify hidden issues early and help resolve them before they grow.
- Remain available around the clock for urgent recovery work related to permission or access problems.
- Independently lead access-control initiatives and deliver results within expected timelines.
- Partner with product and development teams during UAT to support smooth releases with minimal impact to users or systems.
- Take on additional tasks assigned by management with limited supervision.
Requirements
- A diploma or degree in IT, computing, or a closely related field.
- Hands-on experience with identity and access management, along with a solid grasp of IAM principles.
- Ability to design and maintain access-control policies that reflect business requirements.
- Good understanding of security standards, protocols, and commonly used access-control tools and technologies.
- Strong analytical ability, organizational discipline, and problem-solving capability.
- Preferred proficiency in both Chinese and English, spoken and written, to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Comfort with change and the ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic environment.
- CISA and PMP certifications will be viewed as an advantage.
