Role overview

The Lead Coach reports to the General Manager and serves as the coaching lead for the team. The position combines direct coaching with leadership responsibilities focused on building a strong, high-performing coach group and delivering an outstanding experience for members.

The role includes roughly 25 coaching hours each week across 5 working days, plus 15 hours of administrative and leadership work. Two days off are provided each week, and one working day must fall on a weekend.

Key responsibilities

  • Coach around 25 hours per week according to the schedule set by the General Manager.
  • Observe and assess coaching candidates during shadow sessions.
  • Onboard new coaches and make sure they understand the company’s systems and operating processes.
  • Review new coaches to confirm they successfully complete the new coach point and rover evaluation before taking regular shifts.
  • Partner with the General Manager to plan coach pairings and groupings that create the best possible member experience.
  • Evaluate current coaches every month and hold recurring one-on-one meetings to review performance and development plans.
  • Coordinate additional evaluations and learning opportunities with the Area Trainer.
  • When assigned to lobby shifts, deliver a strong lobby experience for members and trial visitors, follow the trial experience process, build parent relationships, and bring energy to the environment.

Schedule

The work pattern includes 25 coaching hours over 5 days, along with 15 administrative hours, and 2 days off each week. One weekend day is required. Administrative and leadership hours will be placed during the week based on the General Manager’s schedule.
