Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Role overview

This position is for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer based in Chorasi, Gujarat, within an industrial fabrication and machine-shop environment. The role centers on keeping mechanical equipment and plant machinery running safely, reliably, and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance activities in line with all safety and environmental requirements.
• Support upkeep and troubleshooting across fabrication and machine-shop equipment, including VMC, HBM, shot blasting systems, furnaces, rolling machines, CNC gas-cutting units, welding equipment (TIG and MIG), and power tools.
• Handle maintenance for EOT cranes and material handling equipment.
• Inspect machines and mechanical systems to spot wear, faults, or other abnormal conditions.
• Plan and execute preventive as well as corrective maintenance work to reduce breakdowns and improve reliability.
• Suggest changes or upgrades that can enhance equipment performance.
• Work with other engineering team members when carrying out complex maintenance jobs.
• Maintain clear records of maintenance, repairs, and related actions for future reference.
• Arrange the parts and equipment needed for maintenance tasks.

Required background and skills

The ideal candidate should bring solid hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance, especially in fabrication and machine-shop operations. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities are also important for coordinating with teams and documenting work effectively.
