Role overview
PepsiCo Foods Canada is hiring a licensed Millwright for the Frito Lay plant in Cambridge, Ontario. This is a full-time, on-site position on weekday nights.
Compensation and schedule
The pay rate is $50.37 per hour, plus shift premiums. The regular shift runs Monday to Friday from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Key duties
- Carry out preventive and predictive maintenance to keep equipment running efficiently and reduce unplanned downtime
- Complete assigned daily maintenance work with attention to safety, quality, and productivity
- Respond promptly to equipment failures and diagnose issues when breakdowns occur
- Support root cause investigations and apply corrective actions to help avoid repeat failures
- Partner with operators and other trades to reduce downtime, safety risks, and quality issues across the site
- Communicate effectively during shift changes and team discussions so work orders and priorities stay aligned
- Use strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills in a busy, high-pressure environment
- Handle emergency breakdown situations as required
Candidate profile and requirements
- Must have a valid Ontario Millwright (433A) license
- An additional trade certificate, such as Electrical or Welding, is considered an advantage and can lead to extra pay
- High School Diploma or GED is required
- Ability to operate machine shop tools and perform welding work
- Strong work ethic with a positive, team-oriented attitude
- Must be physically able to lift up to 50 lbs when needed
- Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on safety, efficiency, and reliability
- Good communication skills and basic computer knowledge, including work order entry and maintenance logging
- Previous experience with production or packaging equipment in a food manufacturing setting is preferred
- Familiarity with CMMS systems for work order tracking and recording hours is preferred
- Must be available for rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays, depending on operational needs
