Role Overview
This position is for a Cloud DevOps / Operations Engineer based in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on maintaining, automating, and improving production infrastructure and operational systems across cloud, virtualization, container, and open-source tooling environments.
Technical Skills and Competencies
- You should have advanced working knowledge of Linux systems and TCP/IP networking, along with familiarity with supporting service components such as Nginx and Keepalived.
- Strong scripting ability is required, particularly in Shell and Python.
- A solid grasp of infrastructure and cloud concepts is needed, including IaaS/PaaS platforms and KVM virtualization across compute, network, and storage layers.
- You should be comfortable working with containers and orchestration, especially Docker and core Kubernetes objects, application operations, and troubleshooting.
- Practical experience is expected in independently deploying, configuring, and optimizing production-ready tools used for databases and caching, CI/CD and source control, monitoring and logging, and configuration management.
- The environment includes technologies such as MySQL, Redis, Jenkins, Git, ELK Stack, Prometheus, and Ansible.
- A strong understanding of DevOps practices is important, particularly in operations automation, monitoring system development, or release system development.

- Effective communication, coordination, and facilitation skills are important for success in this role.
- You should be dependable, highly accountable, and able to stay effective when working under pressure.
- The role requires clear problem definition, accurate communication of issues, and the ability to drive issues through to full resolution.
Preferred Qualifications
Additional value will be given to candidates who hold delivery or operations certifications related to Tencent Cloud TCE or Alibaba Cloud Apsara Stack, covering areas such as platform, compute, storage, networking, middleware, databases, or security products.
