Overview

PepsiCo Foods Canada is hiring an Over-the-Road (OTR) Driver for its Frito Lay facility in Cambridge, Ontario.

Schedule

This role follows a Friday-to-Tuesday schedule, with shifts that may fall in the morning or afternoon. Start times can vary between 2:00 AM and 3:00 PM. The expected start date is late August 2026.

Role summary

The selected driver will transport products to Frito Lay sites and external customers using single vehicles or long combination vehicles (LCVs), operating either automatic or manual transmission tractors. The job also involves handling product unloading, occasional overnight trips, and following all company, traffic safety, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Transport goods to Frito Lay locations and outside customers using single trucks or LCVs, with either automatic or standard-shift tractors
• Manually unload product or use a handcart at customer and internal delivery points; this includes unloading bins
• Complete overnight trips when needed using a bunk tractor
• Follow all FLC Controls, traffic safety rules, and Ministry of Transportation (MTO) policies and regulations
• Maintain a strong customer-service mindset while performing delivery duties

Qualifications

• A clean driving abstract and a current medical clearance in good standing are required
• At least 5 years of OTR driving experience is needed
• High school diploma or GED equivalency is mandatory
• Experience with long combination vehicles is considered an advantage
• Ability to work on your own while still contributing effectively to a team
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities
• Good time management, task prioritization, and deadline-handling skills
• Comfort operating in a fast-moving, high-pressure environment
• Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs when required
• Basic computer proficiency, including digital logs and reporting tools
• Flexibility to adjust to schedule changes and business needs
