About the company
Valence Surface Technologies is a complete surface-finishing provider serving the commercial aerospace, defense, space, and satellite sectors. Operating from ten carefully placed facilities across the United States, the company delivers an end-to-end service range that includes NDT, chemical processing, paint, and sub-assembly.
Position overview
This role is focused on visually and functionally checking aircraft parts throughout every stage of processing. The inspector will help ensure products and procedures meet required quality standards before they move forward.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out and record in-process, first-article, receiving, and final inspections on aircraft components and related processes.
- Use planning documents, tooling designs, blueprints, specifications, and quality procedures to build accurate and complete inspection records.
- Set up and verify inspection tools and equipment before use.
- Work with team members across departments to resolve quality-related issues.
- Help operators understand quality requirements and procedures.
- Prepare and submit nonconformance reports to QA administrators.
- Take part in internal audits when needed.
- Recommend better methods to strengthen continuous improvement within the quality management system.
- Handle additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in masking or a similar field, with aerospace experience preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail, good manual dexterity, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- High school diploma or equivalent; extra technical education or certification is an added advantage.
- Ability to remain standing for extended periods, lift heavy items, and repeat tasks throughout the shift.
Export compliance requirement
This role involves access to EAR- or ITAR-controlled technology. To qualify, applicants must be eligible for employment under U.S. export control regulations and must be a U.S. citizen.
