Solutions Architect

Role Overview

We are looking for a Solution / Technical Architect for a client engagement based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This is an outsourced, one-year contract role for a candidate who can join immediately or within 1–2 weeks at most.

Key Experience Needed

• At least 10 years of experience working with Oracle Retail, POS, SIM, or SIOCS platforms.
• A minimum of 5 years in a Solution Architect or Technical Architect position.
• Practical knowledge of Oracle XStore POS, including architecture, extensions, and XStore Office.
• Hands-on understanding of Oracle SIM and SIOCS architecture and related services.
• Working familiarity with Oracle Retail Data Store (RDS) architecture and how it is used.
• Awareness of SIM-to-SIOCS upgrade planning and related technical considerations.
• Experience with Spring Framework for service and integration development.
• Knowledge of REST and SOAP services, webhooks, and table/database-based integration designs.
• Exposure to POS integrations such as payments, loyalty, and pricing.
• Working knowledge of SQL on Oracle Database, basic Linux, and APEX.
• Experience with handheld devices and printers.
• Integration experience with Identity Management systems.
• Understanding of CI/CD practices and tools such as Jenkins and Git.
• Strong capability in stakeholder management and SI governance.
• Retail domain knowledge will be an added advantage, especially across sales, returns, voids, refunds, tender handling, promotions, discounts, inventory movements, and adjustments.
