Role overview
Dollarama is looking for a Team Leader to join the store management team in Leduc, Alberta. In this position, you will help the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager run everyday retail operations smoothly while supporting the team and maintaining a strong customer experience.
Key duties
- Guide and oversee store associates, offering direction and day-to-day support.
- Handle merchandising activities, replenish shelves, and manage the boxing and unboxing of incoming shipments.
- Make sure customers receive consistently high service.
- Take charge of manager-on-duty responsibilities, including breaks, time tracking, and attendance.
- Carry out and uphold visual merchandising standards across the store.
- Respond to customer concerns and work toward quick, effective resolutions.
- Support a clean, safe, and well-maintained store environment.
- Manage cash-related duties and complete store opening and closing tasks when required.
- Assist with inventory activities and staff training efforts.
- Track assigned work through to completion and contribute to hiring and performance-related activities.
What you need
- At least 1 year of retail work experience.
- Between 1 and 2 years of experience in a supervisory position.
- A strong desire to grow and advance within the organization.
- Availability to work days, evenings, and weekends.
- Well-developed leadership and communication abilities.
- Capacity to juggle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a busy, high-traffic setting.
