This position is for a Warehouse Supervisor based in Clonmel, working with a successful food manufacturing company. The role is practical and team-focused, with responsibility for running the stores function day to day, keeping materials flowing to production on time, and ensuring the site remains compliant, organised, and ready for audit checks.

You will report to the Production and Operations teams and take responsibility for leading a small group while supporting production efficiency, stock integrity, traceability, cleanliness, food safety, and health and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the daily activities of the stores function and the external yard area.
• Guide, support, and coordinate a small team so operational targets are met.
• Make sure packaging and raw materials reach production according to manufacturing schedules.
• Track stock levels and alert the appropriate people when shortages arise.
• Organise incoming goods so deliveries are checked, logged, and put away correctly.
• Keep inventory records accurate by using the company’s internal systems.
• Control stock rotation and ensure materials are stored in line with food safety rules.
• Complete monthly stock counts and help improve inventory accuracy.
• Maintain end-to-end traceability for packaging and ingredients.
• Keep stores and yard areas clean, orderly, and well maintained.
• Support compliance with food safety, quality, and customer standards.
• Ensure allergen controls and segregation rules are followed at all times.
• Work with suppliers on stock call-offs and delivery timing.
• Make sure delivery paperwork and intake records are filled out properly.
• Manage waste handling and keep external spaces organised and compliant.
• Encourage a strong health and safety mindset across the department.

Candidate profile

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a Stores Supervisor, Warehouse Supervisor, Inventory Supervisor, Materials Controller, Goods-In Supervisor, or a similar position. Experience in food manufacturing, FMCG, manufacturing, or another production setting is important.

You should bring solid experience in stock control and inventory management, along with prior people leadership or supervision experience. A good working knowledge of traceability, stock rotation, and audit expectations is needed, as well as confidence using stock systems and maintaining accurate records.

Strong organisation, the ability to prioritise work effectively, clear communication, and practical problem-solving skills are all important. A forklift licence and forklift experience would be an advantage.
