About the Role
METZ Electronics S.r.l., the Italian subsidiary of Skyworth Group, is hiring an Accountant to work from Wiesbaden. This position sits in a dynamic, international, and rapidly expanding setting, with a focus on supporting the company’s growth across the DACH region.
Key Responsibilities
Daily Accounting
- Handle everyday accounting entries in SAP.
- Check, validate, and record employee expense reimbursements and other operating costs.
- Prepare and book standard journal entries such as accruals and prepayments.
- Keep accounting files accurate and properly supported with documentation.
- Contribute to month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing work.
Payments
- Set up regular payment proposals in SAP.
- Execute daily supplier and expense payments according to internal approval workflows.
- Make sure payment records are complete and stored correctly.
- Help resolve payment issues with both internal teams and external contacts.
Customer Finance Coordination
- Serve as the finance point of contact for customers on invoices, financial documents, and general finance queries.
- Work closely with Sales and Customer Service to keep operations running smoothly.
- Support accounts receivable activities and customer finance coordination.
Financial Compliance & Support
- Assist with VAT paperwork, statutory reporting, and audit-related requests.
- Ensure work is aligned with company policies and local accounting rules.
- Support the Finance Manager with broader accounting and finance tasks.
- Contribute to ongoing improvements in accounting workflows and internal controls.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline.
- 3 to 5 years of accounting experience, ideally gained in an international organization.
- Strong grasp of financial accounting fundamentals.
- SAP ERP experience is strongly preferred.
- Good command of Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis.
- Working knowledge of German accounting practices.
- Hands-on exposure to AR, AP, and general ledger accounting.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational ability.
- Capable of working on your own while also collaborating well with a team.
- Fluent German, both written and spoken.
- Good English communication skills for everyday business use.
