About the Role
We are seeking an Analytics Engineer to develop and maintain data solutions that empower teams throughout the Club to excel in their roles. This position focuses on creating reliable, transparent data that supports commercial, digital, and operational teams in making informed decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and sustain cloud-based ETL and ELT pipelines on AWS and Snowflake, utilizing Python, R, and SQL to import data from APIs, websites, and internal platforms.
- Create and uphold analytics models like SQL or dbt modeling to embody business logic and establish dependable metrics.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and analysts to define questions clearly and produce actionable outputs, including dashboards and reports.
- Ensure thorough documentation, employ version control (Git), enforce data governance, and automate workflows when beneficial.
- Support various Club teams in addressing data-related challenges, promote safe data usage practices, and investigate emerging technologies such as AI.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Background in data engineering, analytics engineering, or a similar technical discipline, potentially gained through education, employment, or self-learning.
- Proficiency in SQL, alongside experience with R and/or Python programming languages.
- Hands-on experience in constructing data pipelines, managing relational databases, and working with cloud platforms such as AWS or Snowflake.
- Strong communication abilities to clearly explain complex technical concepts in simple terms.
- Possession of or willingness to acquire a National Police Clearance and Working with Children Check.
