About the Role

As we rapidly expand our APAC footprint, we are seeking a commercially astute Data Analyst to join our Strategic Sales & Analytics (SSnA) team in Singapore. This role is pivotal in transforming data into actionable business insights across the APAC region.
Key Responsibilities
- Examine sales patterns, promotional outcomes, channel trends, and market share data spanning APAC markets.
- Identify data deficiencies beyond existing reports and collaborate with commercial, finance, and supply chain departments to acquire necessary information.
- Convert complex datasets into coherent narratives that include practical, data-backed recommendations.
- Assist in pricing strategy evaluations, marketing return on investment analyses, and post-campaign assessments.
- Create and manage Power BI dashboards that provide timely updates on sales, distribution, and promotional effectiveness for commercial teams.
- Work with various stakeholders to establish KPIs that truly reflect business performance, not just easily accessible metrics.
- Automate routine reporting tasks to enhance efficiency and ensure timely delivery.
- Translate dashboard insights into accessible summaries suitable for non-technical stakeholders.
- Engage proactively with finance, supply chain, marketing, and local teams to ensure robust and comprehensive data gathering.
- Forge trusted partnerships with country teams to enhance the relevance and accuracy of analysis to market realities.
- Contribute to upgrading data infrastructure and uphold clean, consistent data pipelines, supporting the APAC data warehouse.
- Prepare structured presentations for commercial leadership, clearly explaining analysis results and actionable recommendations.
- Collaborate with senior leaders including the Regional President, CFO, and Directors to support strategic decision-making.
- Adapt to project-based roles focusing on specific markets or functions based on business priorities, embracing complex and new challenges.
Qualifications and Experience
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in commercial analytics or business intelligence, preferably within consumer goods, FMCG, retail, or electronics sectors.
- Proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries for large datasets.
- Advanced skills in Power BI covering data modeling, DAX, and designing dashboards for non-technical users.
- Strong business understanding with an ability to connect analytical insights to practical commercial outcomes.
- Proactive in identifying and addressing data gaps.
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration abilities.
- Effective storytelling skills to present data findings with clear recommendations.
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Business Analytics, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Fluent in English, good verbal and written communication skills.
- Background in trade marketing, promotional analytics, or channel management in consumer electronics or FMCG fields.
- Experience operating across multiple APAC markets simultaneously.
- Familiarity with Snowflake or other cloud-based data warehousing solutions.
