About the Role
The Architect Lead Specialist provides comprehensive in-house architectural planning, spatial design, and technical assistance for Gulftainer's offices, operational sites, and upcoming development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Create architectural concepts, layouts, detailed blueprints, and technical drawings for various company facilities including offices, terminals, and warehouses.
- Develop floor plans, elevations, cross-sections, and 3D visual models to support design objectives.
- Design functional and efficient workplace environments tailored to operational needs.
- Manage office seating arrangements and space distribution to optimize facility use.
- Assist in office setup, relocation, refurbishment, and expansion tasks to meet organizational requirements.
- Identify and recommend improvements to workplace layouts and usage.
- Produce precise AutoCAD drawings and all necessary construction documents.
- Prepare as-built drawings and ensure all drawing revisions are up to date.
- Review architectural drawings submitted by consultants and contractors to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Support planning and development for new office locations, warehouse constructions, land acquisition projects, and operational facilities.
- Contribute to feasibility analyses and master planning exercises.
- Prepare architectural inputs for tender documents including drawings, specifications, and Bills of Quantities (BoQs).
- Assist in the technical assessment of consultants and contractors during tender evaluation.
- Employ digital tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, BIM, and AI-driven design software to enhance design efficiency.
- Maintain organized digital archives of drawings and uphold design standards consistently.
- Collaborate closely with internal departments including General Affairs, Engineering, Procurement, IT, HSE, HR, and relevant business units.
- Liaise with external stakeholders such as consultants, landlords, and contractors to align project objectives.
- Ensure strict adherence to building codes, company policies, safety regulations, and sustainability criteria.
Qualifications and Experience
- A Bachelor's degree in Architecture is mandatory.
- Professional architectural certification will be considered an advantage.
- Possess 5 to 8 years of experience in architecture focusing on workplace design, facilities planning, office fit-outs, renovation projects, and tender assistance.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, BIM software, Microsoft Office suite, and Adobe Creative Suite is preferred.
- Demonstrated capabilities in space planning, construction documentation, and preparation of Bills of Quantities.
