Assistant Manager - Data Analyst in Banking Risk Operations

About the Position

We are looking for a focused and results-oriented data analyst to support data-informed decisions within banking risk operations. This role demands close collaboration with stakeholders to deliver actionable intelligence, improve strategies, and enhance operational effectiveness through analytics tools such as SQL, Python, and advanced methodologies.

Primary Responsibilities

• Examine extensive datasets to detect patterns, trends, and factors influencing performance.
• Partner with various teams to assist and shape decision-making processes.
• Conduct root cause analyses and suggest process optimizations.
• Create and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Maintain accuracy and integrity of data across reporting platforms and business metrics.
• Convert complex analytical results into comprehensible insights that guide business decisions.
• Develop and automate dashboards and reports using Power BI or Tableau to deliver straightforward and decisive information to operations and management.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics, or closely related discipline; a Master’s degree is advantageous.
• 1 to 3 years of practical experience in data or business analytics, ideally in the banking, financial services, and insurance (BFSI) sector.
• Advanced capabilities in SQL and Python.
• Strong grasp of analytical methods and problem-solving skills.
• Good business insight, particularly regarding banking and financial sectors (preferred).

Additional Technical Skills

• Knowledge of PySpark and Machine Learning techniques is beneficial.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI is a plus.
