Role Overview
As a Baker, you will engage in preparing a variety of baked goods including breads, cookies, pastries, decorative cakes, and sophisticated desserts. This role demands passion for baking along with the ability to maintain excellent customer interaction, focusing on product quality, freshness, and safety. The workspace involves use of commercial ovens, mixers, slicers, and proofers to produce consistent bakery items. Periodically, the role requires ensuring that display cases and shelves are organized, clean, and adequately stocked, contributing to a satisfying shopping experience for customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake an assortment of baked goods such as breads, pastries, cookies, and dessert items.
- Decorate cakes and craft fancy dessert presentations.
- Operate bakery equipment including ovens, mixers, slicers, and proofers safely and effectively.
- Engage and communicate positively with customers, demonstrating pride in the bakery products.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and stocking of bakery displays and shelves.
