Job Overview
The role involves overseeing and coordinating new projects and building maintenance activities across the region. The supervisor ensures the upkeep of company premises and facilities, providing an optimal environment for customers and staff while managing resources effectively and economically.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing the scope of work and cost analyses for new projects in the designated region.
- Oversee and coordinate construction activities related to new projects, collaborating closely with project consultants, contractors, and the Engineering Manager.
- Manage and monitor ongoing maintenance operations across all company stores and facilities to maintain high standards.
- Schedule and conduct regular inspections with store and premises managers to assess preventive and corrective maintenance needs.
- Address routine and emergency maintenance requests promptly and efficiently.
- Organize teams to respond to maintenance tasks and requests across the region.
- Liaise with manufacturers’ service providers for elevator and escalator troubleshooting, repairs, and routine maintenance, ensuring quality of service.
- Identify, evaluate, and recommend qualified contractors and suppliers for construction and maintenance projects and procurement of materials.
- Prepare financial documentation including CAPEX/OPEX requests, payment approvals, petty cash management, travel and overtime expenses, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Manage petty cash spending related to maintenance tasks, ensuring accurate reporting and adherence to procedures.
- Review and validate monthly timesheets of engineering staff in the region.
- Compile and present weekly, monthly, and yearly reports covering staff performance, expenses, and department achievements.
- Participate actively in scheduled meetings related to engineering operations and project progress.
Educational and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering is required.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in project management or building maintenance engineering functions.
Essential Skills and Competencies
- Proficiency in design and planning software, MS Office suite, and ERP systems such as SAP-CRM.
- Strong command of the English language.
- Customer service orientation with a sales mindset.
- Competent supervisory, communication, negotiation, time management, and planning skills.
Additional Knowledge and Requirements
- Familiarity with contract management, project management, cost engineering, and innovation management.
- Experience in bid preparation and tendering processes.
- Strong understanding of quality control, quality assurance, coordination, and resource planning.
