Business Data Analyst

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Business Data Analyst based in Denver, CO. This is a contract position requiring a candidate who is local to the area. The core responsibilities include developing comprehensive data solutions and managing various aspects of data warehousing and ETL processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop robust data solutions through analyzing, designing, and building applications and data pipelines utilizing AWS, Databricks, Redshift, and Snowflake platforms.
• Design and implement ETL and ELT processes for batch and real-time data, adhering to established standards and procedures.
• Oversee database management activities including the design and maintenance of Data Lakes and Data Warehouses, working with systems such as Oracle and SQL Server.
• Write complex and optimized SQL queries to support data analysis and application requirements, including performance tuning.
• Manage the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) for data warehouse applications, encompassing requirement gathering, implementation, testing, and debugging.
• Integrate and enhance Enterprise Data Warehouses to unify data from diverse sources and improve data pipelines.

Experience & Skills Required

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in data analysis and data warehousing roles.
• Proficiency with SQL and performance optimization techniques.
• Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms including AWS, Snowflake, Redshift, and Databricks.
• Strong expertise in designing and managing Data Lakes and Data Warehouses.
• Knowledge of database systems such as Oracle and SQL Server.
• Experience in ETL/ELT development and process design.
• Ability to manage complete agile software development lifecycle from requirements to deployment and debugging.
