The company is expanding its footprint in Japan and Singapore and seeks a Japanese-speaking Business Development Representative (BDR) to contribute to this growth by generating qualified sales opportunities.
Primary Responsibilities
- Initiate and engage potential business clients in Singapore and Japan via outbound communication channels such as phone calls, emails, LinkedIn, and other social platforms.
- Conduct thorough research on targeted accounts and decision-makers to provide tailored and effective outreach efforts.
- Establish and maintain relationships with prospects fluent in Japanese and English to create opportunities for new business.
- Assess and qualify leads based on criteria including customer profile fit, business challenges, buying intent, and solution alignment.
- Arrange meetings and generate sales-qualified prospects for Account Executives and Managers.
- Collaborate closely with internal Sales, Marketing, and Revenue Operations to align territory strategies, campaigns, and account initiatives.
- Ensure accurate documentation of all prospect interactions and opportunities in the customer relationship management (CRM) system.
- Optimize messaging and outreach approaches responding to market insights, campaign effectiveness, and feedback from customer engagements.
- Build a comprehensive understanding of the financial industry's challenges, including consolidation, planning, and compliance, as they relate to enterprise organizations.
Candidate Profile
- Some experience or strong interest in business development, outbound sales, lead generation, or other client-facing commercial roles, ideally within B2B SaaS environments.
- Fluency in Japanese and English, capable of confidently engaging stakeholders at senior finance, accounting, and business leadership levels in both languages.
- Exceptional skills in initiating conversations and discovering customer needs through effective communication and listening.
- A proactive, resilient, and target-driven attitude toward achieving results in a high-activity outbound sales setting.
- Strong organizational abilities with meticulous attention to follow-ups, pipeline management, and maintaining CRM data hygiene.
- Keen interest in SaaS, financial technology industries, and acquiring knowledge in complex business domains.
- Experience interacting with Japanese clients or working in Japanese business contexts is a plus but not mandatory.
