Overview

This role is offered through a partner company managing all applications and subsequent steps. The Content Strategy Lead will be based in the United States and will be pivotal in crafting and executing comprehensive content strategies for high-profile enterprise clients within a dynamic digital marketing setting. This position combines strategic insight, creative development, SEO proficiency, and operational skill to enhance content effectiveness measurably.

Key Responsibilities

Create detailed content briefs, outline strategic approaches, and provide sourcing guidance to empower writers in generating impactful content.
Oversee content calendars, editorial processes, and production schedules across multiple enterprise accounts.
Edit and optimize long-form articles, website text, and blog content ensuring alignment with SEO best practices, brand voice, and client goals.
Coordinate with remote writers, editors, and internal teams to maintain deadlines, quality standards, and achieve campaign objectives.
Perform competitor analysis, identify content gaps, and assess keyword opportunities to improve search rankings.
Lead creative brainstorming, campaign ideation, and planning efforts that boost audience reach and engagement.
Manage content uploads, formatting, and accuracy within content management systems.
Analyze campaign performance with SEO tools and analytics platforms to support reporting initiatives.
Collaborate closely with SEO specialists, client services, and marketing teams to refine strategies and optimize campaign outcomes.
Advocate for process enhancements and innovative methods to increase content production efficiency and quality.

Candidate Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related discipline.
3 to 5 years of leadership experience in managing content marketing campaigns, ideally within digital marketing agencies or tech-oriented businesses.
Expertise in SEO-driven content strategies with a deep understanding of the customer journey and sales funnel support through content.
Strong editorial capabilities including proofreading, self-editing, familiarity with AP style, and skill in adapting voice to different brands.
Experience with content management systems like WordPress, Shopify, Django, or equivalents.
Proven ability to oversee editorial calendars, production timelines, and multiple client projects simultaneously.
Knowledge of SEO tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, BuzzSumo, BrightEdge, or similar platforms.
Experience designing and implementing email marketing and related content initiatives.
Strong grasp of SEO principles with a track record of improving measurable content results.
Excellent communication skills with keen attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively both independently and within teams.
Results-driven approach, capable of proposing new concepts, testing strategies, and adapting swiftly in a progressive environment.
