Role Overview
We seek an experienced Credit Controller to become a vital member of our finance department at the Sandyford Dublin location. The position offers a hybrid work model with a target-oriented compensation package amounting to 36,000 OTE. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely payment of outstanding customer invoices by managing account monitoring, running reminder processes, and collaborating with account managers to overcome payment hurdles.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing inbound and outbound communications with customers regarding overdue payments.
- Promptly addressing all customer inquiries to facilitate swift settlement of outstanding bills.
- Negotiating and establishing appropriate and mutually agreeable repayment arrangements.
- Coordinating with billing and other departments to resolve payment barriers associated with customer accounts.
- Engaging with third-party collection agencies for handling final overdue accounts and exceptional cases.
- Ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements concerning the cessation of energy supply due to non-payment.
- Collaborating with onboarding teams to evaluate credit risk for new customer accounts.
- Performing additional related tasks as needed.
Candidate Profile
- A minimum of two years in credit control or customer service roles.
- Background in utility sectors, particularly energy or telecommunications, is highly desirable.
- Strong telephone communication skills with a calm, professional, and empathetic approach to customers.
- Demonstrated ability to meet strict objectives both individually and collaboratively.
- Experience working with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems is beneficial.
- Competency in Microsoft Excel and general MS Office applications is an advantage.
