Role Overview

As a Data Engineer specializing in Machine Learning at IBM, you will utilize machine learning theories and methods to solve organizational challenges. Your role is central to promoting data-driven decision-making by designing, developing, and implementing machine learning solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop machine learning models that tackle business problems by interpreting statistical data and pinpointing essential features.
• Assess the effectiveness of various algorithms through appropriate evaluation metrics, ensuring they align with business goals and enhance decision-making.
• Convey the findings of machine learning projects clearly to stakeholders, delivering insightful and actionable recommendations.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to apply machine learning methods that generate tangible business value.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree; a Master's degree is preferred.
• Practical experience or exposure to machine learning concepts and techniques applied to real-world business issues.
• Proficiency in algorithm selection, development, and performance evaluation using standard metrics.
• Ability to analyze and interpret statistical data effectively to guide solution development.
• Experience in communicating complex technical outcomes to non-technical stakeholders to support business decisions.

Preferred Expertise
