Job Overview

This role requires a highly skilled Data Engineer with between 7 and 10 years of experience, focused on full stack engineering within agile, production environments. The position involves designing and implementing complex features in full-stack applications and effectively bridging the gap between business, data, and technical teams. This role requires advanced usage of open source tools, predictive analytics, machine learning, and statistical methods to support data analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Leverage Python or Scala along with Spark, Hadoop ecosystem tools (Hive, Impala, Airflow, NiFi, SQoop) and SQL to develop Big Data products and platforms.
• Utilize cloud data platforms such as Databricks and Snowflake for data management.
• Build and deploy production-grade data-driven applications and data pipelines, and implement scalable machine learning systems using Java, Scala, or Python across all phases including data ingestion, feature engineering, modeling, tuning, evaluation, monitoring, and reporting.
• Provide coaching and mentorship to junior engineers to foster skill development.
• Lead extensive technical projects that involve coordination across multiple teams and members.
• Employ Java/Spring Boot, .NET/C#, React, Redux, Typescript, and SQL Server or similar technologies for backend and frontend development.
• Continuously learn and adopt emerging technologies and frameworks to enhance technical proficiency.
• Apply a customer-focused mindset in software development and problem-solving.
• Drive improvements in development processes and identify innovative solutions.
• Collaborate effectively with diverse teams across different roles and geographies.
• Demonstrate motivation, creativity, independent initiative, and thrive working in small project teams.

Requirements

• A strong academic background with a degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English for clear communication.
• Minimum 7 years and maximum 10 years of relevant experience in full stack engineering roles.

Additional Information

The position offers an annual salary between 85,000 and 90,000 Euros. Employees are expected to work onsite three days a week in Dublin, Ireland.
