Data Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Data Engineer to join a high-impact technology initiative focused on delivering scalable and efficient data engineering solutions. The role is based in Canberra and offers a hybrid work setting.

Key Responsibilities & Skills

• Develop and maintain data pipelines to support diverse data operations.
• Manage data migration processes and ensure data modeling aligns with analytics requirements.
• Leverage hands-on experience with Python and data streaming technologies such as Apache Kafka and Apache NiFi (or similar) to build robust data systems.
• Incorporate DevSecOps principles in the development lifecycle within Agile team environments.

Requirements

• A minimum of five years of professional experience in data engineering roles.
• Proficiency in Python programming and expertise in data streaming tools.
• Solid understanding of data pipelines, migration, modeling, and analytics techniques.
• Experience working with DevSecOps frameworks and agile methodologies.
• Must be an Australian citizen eligible to secure NV1-level government security clearance.
