Role Summary

We seek a full-time Detailer to join our production team responsible for completing OPENLANE’s five-step vehicle reconditioning process within Vehicle Logistic Centers.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare vehicles for auction by executing the reconditioning process adhering to company procedures and service level agreements
Perform vehicle detailing tasks such as interior cleaning, upholstery care, vinyl dressing, tar and decal removal, vacuuming, shampooing, window cleaning, pre-wash, buffing, and quality inspections
Occasionally photograph and stage vehicles following detailing
Inspect workmanship quality prior to advancing vehicles to subsequent reconditioning stages
Maintain a clean and safe workspace consistently
Ensure proper upkeep of equipment and facilities by reporting malfunctions or maintenance needs to management
Promote teamwork and collaborative efforts within the department
Follow established safety procedures to protect employees and property, including injury reporting protocols
Perform additional assigned tasks as needed

Minimum Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Possess a valid driver’s license
Clear drivers’ abstract and criminal background check
Preferred ability to operate manual transmission vehicles
Basic proficiency with computers and smartphones
Prior experience in automotive detailing

Preferred Qualifications

Between one to three years of automotive detailing experience
