Director, Technical Program Management

About the Role

This leadership position is key in aligning pre-sales strategies with delivery capabilities and establishing scalable implementation frameworks across global customer projects. Reporting directly to the Chief Customer Officer, the role focuses on defining deployment standards, readiness criteria, and consistent execution methods while managing portfolio-level delivery performance, risk, and strategic account health to ensure measurable returns and long-lasting client success. The role also drives continuous improvement by partnering with product and engineering teams and leveraging metrics and industry insights.

Responsibilities

• Develop pre-sales platform positioning and reference implementation strategies.
• Assist in executive sponsorship discussions to align sales with delivery capacity.
• Set platform deployment standards applicable to diverse customer environments.
• Formulate enterprise deployment strategies across public SaaS, private tenant, and managed frameworks.
• Define minimum readiness criteria and exception approval processes for deployments.
• Create scalable, repeatable deployment models ensuring consistent delivery performance linked to revenue and retention.
• Establish global frameworks for managing complex multi-system programs.
• Align program strategies with platform architecture and enterprise-level governance standards.
• Develop escalation procedures for environment-related risks and reduce delivery frictions.
• Own strategic account health, satisfaction, and successful deployment outcomes demonstrating clear ROI and operational impact.
• Build executive relationships to support customer success.
• Design and govern technical engagement models, clarifying roles across Solution Architect, Technical Program Management, and Support teams.
• Scale the TPM organization emphasizing enterprise cloud, integration expertise, and risk management of large technical programs.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering leadership to integrate enterprise deployment learnings into feature roadmaps.
• Provide executive leadership on priorities, risks, and trade-offs within technical programs.
• Act as a technical ambassador representing the company in enterprise forums and customer engagements.
• Develop metrics dashboards tracking deployment success, customer satisfaction, renewal, and expansion.
• Leverage delivery data to refine architecture standards and support strategies continuously.

Experience and Qualifications

• Proven ability to balance enterprise revenue growth with delivery risk, regulatory compliance, and trust-building.
• Experience managing leaders and defining organizational structure, strategy, and accountability.
• Comfortable scaling operations and engagement globally within complex enterprise ecosystems.
• Deep knowledge of enterprise cloud platforms, security, compliance, deployment frameworks, and data integration architectures.
• Strong communication skills capable of translating technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Exceptional organizational abilities and experience with complex software implementations involving data integration and migration.
• Preferred: Oil & gas sector experience understanding operational challenges across functions and levels.
• Preferred: Project Management or Agile certifications; familiarity with Atlassian management tools.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering.
