Role Overview

This entry-level IT Support Technician - Data Technician position is ideal for motivated individuals who want to assist in maintaining and supporting database systems under supervision. The role plays an important part in enhancing the organization's data management processes by contributing to database upkeep, monitoring performance, and ensuring data security to support operational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

• Support maintenance and implementation of complex databases as part of a guided team effort
• Assist in database planning and engineering efforts
• Monitor and evaluate database performance, scalability, and security aspects
• Review and update existing database schema designs
• Create SQL queries and reports under supervision
• Engage in collaborative, team-oriented, agile workflows
• Manage multi-disciplinary triage calls with initiative and self-motivation
• Work with database partitioning and microservices architectures
• Support integration and operations of cloud-native database platforms such as AWS RDS and DynamoDB

Requirements

• High school diploma or its equivalent required; associate degree or technical certification is preferred
• Basic proficiency with computers, software applications, and business systems
• Ability to carefully follow instructions and established procedures with precision
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data handling
• Effective communication skills for interacting with customers and team members
• Capable of working under supervision and escalating issues as needed
• Familiarity or experience with Software Development Lifecycle in collaborative environments
• Preferred experience with tools like ServiceNow, GitHub, and Jira
• Previous related functional experience is a plus
• Willingness to undergo security clearance investigations for classified information access

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual salary of $33,500
• Full-time remote employment
