The Opportunity
We are inviting applications for an Estimating Cadet to join our team based in Melbourne. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals wishing to establish a promising career in construction estimating under the guidance of seasoned experts.
The role offers practical experience through engagement with the full estimating process on a diverse array of projects and provides excellent opportunities for training and professional development.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the preparation of tender submissions and cost estimates.
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and related project documentation.
- Assist in performing quantity take-offs and cost evaluations.
- Support in obtaining pricing from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Maintain detailed estimating records and databases.
- Collaborate closely with the Estimating and Pre-Construction teams.
Candidate Profile
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
- Strong numerical aptitude and enthusiasm for figures.
- Exceptional attention to detail combined with a keen interest in learning.
- Effective communication and organizational capabilities.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel or a readiness to develop these skills.
- Genuine passion for the construction industry and estimating processes.
