About the Role
Our client, a mission-driven nonprofit organization based in Washington, D.C., is looking for a highly capable Executive Assistant to provide support to their Chief Development Officer (CDO) and the Office of the Chief Development Officer through the end of the year on a temporary basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver executive and administrative support to the Chief Development Officer and the OCDO team.
- Manage an intricate calendar, coordinate various meetings, prepare detailed agendas, and organize both domestic and international travel arrangements.
- Oversee tracking of action items, facilitate team meetings and events, and manage collective office assets.
- Coordinate logistics for donor and prospect meetings, manage donor correspondence, acknowledgment of gifts, and stewardship activities.
- Maintain precise Salesforce records and assist with fundraising operations.
- Compose routine correspondence, aid in internal communication efforts, and contribute to special projects as required.
- Handle processing of expense reports, invoices, vendor communication, and budgeting oversight.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of five years’ experience as an executive assistant supporting senior C-suite executives, ideally within a nonprofit setting.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multifaceted calendars and competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite with prior Salesforce experience preferred.
- Experience handling fundraising processes is advantageous.
- Exceptional organization, self-drive, and a detail-focused approach.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion regarding sensitive information.
- Familiarity with Slack or similar team communication tools.
Position Details
- Immediate start date.
- Hybrid work model requiring two days on-site weekly at a location accessible by Metro in Washington, D.C.
- Standard work schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM including a 30-minute lunch break.
