Key Responsibilities

Perform maintenance and repair tasks ranging in duration from a couple hours to two days, encompassing residential and commercial projects
Engage with clients to clarify required work and cost expectations
Provide outstanding customer service promoting long-term client relationships by adhering to the "Mr. Handyman Way" process
Operate independently, managing your own workflow and documenting tasks accordingly
Handle customer payments on site
Utilize your own tools and leverage technology for job documentation
Follow safety protocols including wearing personal protective equipment and protective booties inside customer's premises

Essential Requirements

Residence within the local service area
Minimum of 8 years professional handyman experience with relevant paid roles
Ownership of personal tools necessary for the trade
Valid insurability to operate company vehicles
Successful completion of background and driving record verifications
Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform tasks at heights or overhead for extended durations
Maintain a professional appearance and proper upkeep of the company vehicle provided

Relevant Skills (At Least 3 Needed)

Carpentry proficiency
Experience with bathroom renovations
Expertise in kitchen remodeling
Interior and exterior painting skills
Drywall installation and repair knowledge
Basic plumbing and electrical tasks where legally permissible
Floor installation and refurbishment techniques
Familiarity with applicable building codes

This position is with an independent franchise owner of Mr. Handyman, who is solely responsible for wages and benefit structures. Acceptance of these terms is essential, and candidates will be interviewed promptly upon meeting qualifications.
