Role Overview

The Finance and Operations Manager will be a foundational member of Bedrock's finance team, reporting directly to the VP of Finance and Operations. This role encompasses a broad scope including accounting, reconciliations, long-term financial planning, and managing financial systems as the company experiences growth.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee ledger reviews and vendor/cost center transactions in collaboration with outsourced accounting providers, serving as the internal liaison and quality assurance partner.
Execute reconciliations across finance platforms to identify and correct inconsistencies.
Support month-end closing activities and journal entry assessments.
Assist with annual recurring revenue recognition and contract-to-revenue procedures.
Manage routine financial planning and analysis deliverables such as monthly variance reports, budget comparisons, and board presentations.
Develop and update multi-year financial models including scenario planning and capital forecasts to aid strategic choices.
Contribute to cash flow forecasting, runway assessments, and compliance monitoring regarding financial covenants.
Provide analytical support for miscellaneous projects, including competitive analysis, pricing strategies, and compensation plan evaluation.
Collaborate closely with the Head of Revenue Operations to assure data integrity and alignment in go-to-market and finance systems.
Administer and optimize finance and operations tools, identifying automation or consolidation opportunities and evaluating new system implementations.

Required Qualifications

Between 5 and 8 years of experience in accounting, FP&A, or financial operations, ideally in a dynamic startup environment requiring diverse responsibilities.
Advanced proficiency in Excel and spreadsheet modeling, including building and maintaining complex financial models.
Strong familiarity and enthusiasm for financial systems and technology tools.
Solid grounding in technical accounting principles.
Exceptional analytical skills combined with sound judgment to discern when to escalate issues.
Effective at cross-department collaboration and communication.
Adept at navigating ambiguity and developing processes in environments lacking established frameworks.
Proactive ownership mindset, aiming to lead functional areas rather than merely executing assigned tasks.
Comfortable leveraging AI technologies such as ChatGPT or Copilot to enhance analysis, modeling, and reporting.

Preferred Experience

Background working within SaaS or B2B software companies, particularly in early funding stages (Series A/B).
Familiarity with usage-based or hybrid pricing frameworks.
Experience collaborating with Go-To-Market or Revenue Operations teams.

Compensation

The annual salary for this position ranges from 135,000 to 165,000 USD, available to remote candidates within the United States.
