Key Responsibilities

• Perform small to medium-sized maintenance and repair projects for residential and commercial clients, with job durations from a couple of hours to several days.
• Effectively communicate with customers to clarify project needs, set realistic expectations regarding scope and costs, and manage relationships proactively.
• Deliver exceptional customer experiences to foster long-term client relationships by following the "Mr. Handyman Way," a proven process for consistent quality service.

Job Requirements and Expectations

• Ability to work independently as you will frequently be on your own during assignments.
• Excellent customer service skills, including direct communication with clients, requesting reviews, and processing payments.
• Must possess general tools; specialty equipment will be supplied.
• Competent in using technology to document jobs electronically according to company procedures.
• Adherence to safety protocols by wearing appropriate personal protective equipment and using booties to protect customer homes.
• Reside within the local area.
• Minimum of five years' paid experience as a handyman.
• Insurable to drive company vehicles; a clean driving record and successful background check are required.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds independently and safely working at heights or overhead for extended durations.
• Maintain a professional appearance and properly care for a company-provided vehicle.

Skills Proficiency

• Strong skills in at least three of the following areas: carpentry, bathroom and kitchen renovations, interior and exterior painting, drywall repairs of varying complexity, general plumbing and electrical work (where lawful), floor installation and restoration, and familiarity with building codes.
