Interface Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive Interface Engineer to manage and coordinate all technical and operational interfaces within large-scale infrastructure and mass earthworks projects. This role involves resolving design conflicts and liaising between earthworks, site preparation, underground utilities, contractors, and external stakeholders to ensure cohesive project progress.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, monitor, and manage all technical, design, and physical interfaces among earthworks, civil utilities, adjacent packages, and external authorities.
• Maintain and update the Project Interface Management Register, ensuring timely handling and resolution of Interface Requests (IFRs) and conflicts.
• Collaborate with utility providers, municipal bodies, traffic departments, and neighboring contractors to obtain necessary approvals for access and execution.
• Lead interface coordination meetings with consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams to synchronize schedules and physical boundaries.
• Evaluate technical risks due to interface overlaps and develop mitigation strategies to prevent any project delays.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• Registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE).
• Deep knowledge of civil infrastructure design, utility corridors, mass earthmoving, and site access logistics.
• Competency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MS Project or Primavera (P6) for tracking project interfaces.
• At least 4 to 6 years of experience managing interfaces, technical coordination, or site engineering in major civil infrastructure and heavy earthworks projects.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
