Opportunity Overview

We are looking for a skilled Java Developer to join our energetic team. This role involves leading the creation, development, and deployment of scalable, high-performance microservices applications within the Java ecosystem. You will collaborate with an agile team focused on building tools used primarily by the Financial Industry to support Financial Supervision functions.

Key Duties

• Design and develop software solutions applying waterfall and Agile methodologies.
• Investigate and resolve technical issues using scripting and SQL queries.
• Coordinate closely with Business Analysts and System Analysts to clarify requirements, conduct automated testing, and address bug fixes.
• Partner with deployment and DevOps teams to establish continuous integration and automate build and release processes.
• Provide production support, including after-hours duty rotations.
• Participate in deploying applications across different environments.

Candidate Requirements

• Solid experience completing projects with waterfall or Agile development methods.
• Proven expertise in Java and .NET programming.
• Familiarity with automated testing approaches like unit testing, integration testing, TDD, and BDD.
• Experience creating build and packaging scripts using MSBuild, Maven, Docker, or equivalent tools.
• Strong problem-solving ability, especially with issues ranging from system resources to application-level errors.
• Experience delivering high-availability, secure, and high-performance systems deployed in data centers or hybrid cloud settings is an advantage.
