Manager - Hospitality Application Engineer

Overview

The Hospitality Lighting Application Engineer role at Jaquar & Company Private Limited is crucial for advancing the company's hospitality segment by delivering comprehensive technical and application support to sales and project teams nationwide. This position serves as the essential liaison connecting sales, product management, design, manufacturing, and clients to enable prompt technical assistance, tailored lighting solutions, accelerated project responses, and exceptional customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate inquiries, bill of quantities (BOQs), tenders, and project specifications to design appropriate lighting solutions for hospitality projects.
• Recommend alternative technical equivalents and cost-effective product options suited to project requirements.
• Analyze project schematics, layouts, and client needs to develop technical presentations and lighting proposals.
• Support architects, consultants, designers, and internal teams with detailed product recommendations and application advice.
• Create solution guides and reference documents focused on hospitality lighting for the sales teams' use.
• Compile and maintain a database of project references, credentials, testimonials, and hospitality case studies.
• Coordinate with internal departments to fulfill decorative and customized lighting needs, ensuring timely customer engagement.
• Collaborate with design, sourcing, manufacturing, and project teams to secure approvals and support execution for customizations.
• Monitor customer deadlines by liaising proactively with regional sales and key account managers.
• Oversee sampling coordination and ensure dispatch and delivery schedules are met.
• Track project timelines and assist in resolving operational delays to minimize turnaround time.
• Bridge sales and product management teams by developing impactful technical sales tools like presentations, comparison sheets, application guides, benchmarking analyses, and customer solution documents.
• Conduct technical training for regional sales teams and enable product launches through customer-directed educational content.
• Gather market insights, client feedback, and specification trends to inform future product innovation.
• Maintain an up-to-date hospitality project database via CRM and internal tracking, providing periodic analytics on pipeline status, win/loss ratios, conversion trends, and product movement.
• Develop and sustain a comprehensive pan-India database of customized decorative lighting implementations for sales and design support.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering — Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical preferred.
• 6 to 10 years of experience in lighting application support, technical sales, hospitality lighting projects, or architectural/decorative lighting solutions.
