About Singapore Fashion Council and DORS
Singapore Fashion Council (SFC), formerly known as Textile and Fashion Federation, serves as the official body representing Singapore's textile and fashion industry. With a mission to become a dynamic Asian hub for responsible fashion, SFC concentrates efforts on sustainability, innovation & technology, internationalisation, and retail. DORS is a premier fashion concept store located at Design Orchard, showcasing over 70 local labels emphasizing creativity, sustainability, and cultural storytelling. It functions as both a retail and discovery space connecting consumers with Singapore’s design talent.
Role Summary
The Manager position within SFC’s Innovation & Technology division spearheads strategic leadership and operational delivery of The Bridge Fashion Innovator (TBFI) programmes and related industry development activities. This role requires managing stakeholder relations, leading programme execution, and generating measurable outcomes aligned to SFC’s mission.
Responsibilities
- Direct the end-to-end planning, implementation, and refinement of accelerator, scale-up, open innovation, and IP commercialisation initiatives under TBFI.
- Set and drive strategic priorities and key performance indicators ensuring alignment with overall industry development objectives.
- Expand and manage SFC’s network across fashion, entrepreneurship, investment, and technology sectors.
- Engage with startups, mentors, corporates, investors, and partners to sustain productive collaborations and impactful programme content.
- Oversee creation of programme documents, reports, marketing materials, and evaluation tools ensuring consistent quality.
- Act as SFC’s spokesperson at industry forums, demo days, and related events, representing fashion innovation leadership.
- Identify and incorporate emerging trends in fashion technology, sustainability, artificial intelligence, and digital transformation to enhance programme relevance.
- Lead a junior team member, providing mentorship and professional development support.
- Maintain rigorous governance in grant and compliance management, ensuring adherence to relevant standards and funding requirements.
- Guide industry discussions and alliances to position SFC at the forefront of capability and innovation development in Singapore’s fashion ecosystem.
Candidate Requirements
- A degree in any field; advanced qualifications or certifications in business, innovation, or related areas are preferred.
- Between 4 to 6 years experience in programme management, ecosystem building, accelerator operations, or related sectors.
- Proven success managing and delivering comprehensive programmes with demonstrable results.
- Experience working alongside startups, investor communities, or corporate innovation teams is highly valued.
- Background in fashion, retail, or lifestyle industries would be advantageous.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of design software such as Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
